WHO TAKES CORE CLASSES?
If you are just beginning your art and art history education at PSU, then this is your home! First-year and transfer students who are Art Practice BFA majors, minors and Art Historians make up the CORE cohort.
WHAT ARE THE SIX CORE COURSES?
Surface, Space, and Time meet three times a week — two studio sessions and a collaboratively taught lab called coLAB. coLAB brings together the cohort to meet artists, provide common skill-building workshops, creative activities, field trips, and advising.
Digital Tools, Ideation and Visual Literacy are the toolbox courses. They meet once a week to present exciting new digital, conceptual and visual language tools.
