THE STUDIOS + FACILITIES

The Art Practice and CORE classes for the most part are held on the second floor of the FMH building on our downtown campus. In addition to access to your studio after hours you can also use the computer drop-in lab on the 2nd floor, as well as computer labs across the campus.

As you progress in the program, more facilities are open to you depending on courses you take. We’ve got beautiful painting studios, a well-equipped printmaking studio, sculpture studios that include a wood shop, casting room and foundry, a photography darkroom, fibers and weaving studios, and a wet studio for dying fabric and silk screen printing.

OFF CAMPUS ANYONE?

You’ll also have the chance to use the city as your classroom at PSU! Beginning with your CORE classes, you will be introduced to places and people who inspire. You may sail on the Willamette River for your Ideation class or take tours of faculty’s favorite places in coLAB! As a junior you may take a class that meets at the King Elementary School. There you’ll find inspiration, learning and KSMoCA, the King School Museum of Contemporary Art!
